Description

Yab Yum Statue  ~  a black and bold piece, representing ” The Gift of Life”- Compassion & Insight.

A Perfect Meditation Room Addition.

Representing Compassion and Insight!!

Our statue,  according to ancient teachings, it symbolises the intimate union of the spiritual

and the material, without which there is no existence.

Deities shown in Yab Yum are used as tools for meditation by reaching understanding through mindful contemplation.

Meditation on achieving liberation from deluded thoughts and false realities involves cultivating awareness, detachment, and a deeper understanding of our true nature. Here’s a guide to help you in this meditative practice:

1. Setting the Intention

Begin your meditation with a clear intention. Sit comfortably and take a few deep breaths.

Let your intention be focused on seeing through the illusions created by your mind and senses.

2. Grounding and Centring

Focus on your breath. Feel the rise and fall of your abdomen or the sensation of air passing through your nostrils. Allow your body to relax with each exhale, releasing tension and grounding yourself in the present moment.

3. Observing Thoughts

As thoughts arise, observe them without judgment. Notice how your mind creates stories, worries, and fantasies. Recognize these thoughts as transient and not inherently true.

They are like clouds passing through the sky of your awareness.

4. Investigating Reality

Reflect on the nature of your thoughts and perceptions. Ask yourself:

  • Are these thoughts based on reality or assumptions?
  • How do my senses deceive me?
  • What is the underlying truth beyond these perceptions?

5. Practicing Detachment

Practice letting go of attachments to specific thoughts or feelings. Visualize them dissolving or floating away. Understand that your identity is not tied to these transient experiences.

6. Focusing on Inner Awareness

Shift your focus inward to the awareness that is observing your thoughts. This awareness is your true self, untouched by illusions. Rest in this space of pure awareness, free from the constraints of the mind.

7. Contemplating Interconnectedness

Meditate on the interconnectedness of all things. Realize that the separateness perceived by your senses is an illusion. Everything is part of a unified whole, and your true nature is part of this oneness.

8. Cultivating Compassion

Extend compassion to yourself for being caught in delusion and to others who are also trapped in their false realities. Cultivate a sense of loving-kindness and empathy.

9. Closing the Meditation

Gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Take a few deep breaths and slowly open your eyes. Carry the sense of clarity and detachment into your daily life.

Practical Tips

  • Consistency: Practice regularly to deepen your understanding and experience.
  • Mindfulness: Integrate mindfulness into everyday activities to maintain awareness of the present moment and reduce the influence of delusions.
  • Journaling: Keep a journal to reflect on your meditative experiences and insights.

By regularly engaging in this meditative practice, you can gradually free yourself from the false realities created by your senses and mind, leading to a deeper sense of liberation and peace.
